Hold a Fundraiser

OUR CHALLENGE

We are trying to raise at least $5,000 per state in 2008 and $10,000 per state in 2009 to fund more staff, conduct outreach, produce videos, and run the professional campaign we envision!

THE PLAN

Smaller grassroots fundraising in all fifty states, a few bigger fundraisers in places like New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.  Fundraisers can be big or small.  Whether you want to do a bake sale at your workplace, a pizza party at your home, or a bigger black tie gala, our team is here to provide support!  Whether you raise $100 or $1,000, it all pours into the bigger pot, providing fuel for the campaign to keep going.

Some examples of easy-to-do fundraisers:

• House party fundraisers (optional: with silent auctions or raffles)
• Workplace Bake Sales
• Wine and Beer Tastings
• Peace Corps Movie and Popcorn night at your local movie theater
• Hold a raffle at the next Peace Corps group meeting in your area
• Do a “Parents for MorePeaceCorps” House party event inviting parents of former and serving volunteers
